Now time for the pretties. I saved myself up a decent budget. Significantly helped by an advance on my Birthday (thanks Tracey). I aquired a lot of stuff. You will notice a distinct lack of yarn. I have a lot of projects queued up and I didn't really have any specific ones to buy for. So I stuck mostly to fiber. Which will eventually become yarn, that will probably sit in my stash because I have too many things I want to do.
First, we shall start with the big purchase I already mentioned. A set of regular size wool hand carders from Strautch fiber equipment. I would have a picture, but they have been in use and are no longer clean and pretty. I put those suckers right to work.

I didn't mean to, but I bought a fleece. I thought I would just take a look around and see if there was anything that struck my fancy. Well I found one. It is Romney and is a lovely color. I need to start processing it. I want to spin it worsted weight, three ply and make a sweater out of it. Crazy, right? At that point the only other step I could possibly take is to raise an animal myself and shear it and them process the fleece and spin and make something out of it. I think it will be a while before I do that.

These babys were some definite hidden gems I got from
Hooked On Felt. The batts were really pretty on the outside. One a gold/purple and the other a stormy grey/green. Then when I got them home, I got them out of the bag and opened them up. I highly recommend clicking on the pictures. Stunning, right? I can't wait to spin these. The colors are going to be amazing. She had her stuff in Susan's Fiber Shop Booth.

I also picked up this lovely at
Susan's Fiber Shop Booth. It is Mohair/Bamboo/Merino wool. The colors are pink, white and dark dark chocolate brown. There is half a pound there. I'm not sure what it wants to be yet.

This lovely 80/20 merino/silk blend is, well, lovely. It is super soft and there was a packet of glitz that matches so I think it will be spun in with the fiber. I got this from the
Bullens Wullens booth. I couldn't really find a website, but the link has their contact information. They had really great prices on undyed fiber.

These two batts are from Gnome Garden. OMG! Love! I am super excited about these. To go along with the blue one (which you can see on the bottom left is not just blue), I got some silk cocoons. I am going to see if I can figure out how to process them to spin with them. and ply the silk with the batt. I wish I could remember what booth I got the cocoons from. I just remember walking by and there was a huge vase full of cocoons and I saw some that matched and started digging. Yay for experiments!
I think that is all. I had so much fun. I think I am going to start saving up now for next year.
